Brigitte Meneveau transformed Millrace Condominiums’ generic looking public areas, in need of updating, into upscale, inviting and unique spaces. For the lobby and community room, comfortable, clean lined furniture was intermixed with custom elements by Gutierrez Studios (also at Clipper Mill). Many of these items were fabricated with reclaimed pine from Clipper Mill’s structures. In the lounge area, community room and elevator lobbies of the four-story building, industrial objects from Fred Struever’s extensive collections were placed throughout the building to create interest. These elements make reference to the areas’ cotton mills, which fabricated the sail canvas for Baltimore’s clipper ships, as well as Clipper Mill’s former foundry, one of the largest in the US. Brigitte Meneveau continues to provide ongoing interior design services to Millrace Condos.

Millrace Condos Interior design committee member:

“You have given us elegance, a sense of history, and appreciation for color and lines in design, devotion and the highest standards in approach, and remarkably, have done so with balance, humor, perseverance, and incredible grace.  You will hear this often, “We are so fortunate to have you.” ”
