When the retail store Kashmir decided to expand and move to Kenilworth Mall, the owners approached Brigitte Meneveau to design the new space. The new store offers an inviting and appealing backdrop for the store’s unique clothing and gift items, in addition to higher-end fair trade crafts. The interior design process included new finishes selections, space planning, and integration of existing display elements, coordination with lighting designer and acquisition of new furniture.

Co-owner of Kashmir, The Shops at Kenilworth:

“Having known Brigitte as a friend and colleague for many years, I learned first-hand why clients continue to praise and refer her work.  When I asked her to design my new retail store in Towson, I had no idea she would completely remove the fear factor from my shoulders and make every part of this experience exciting and calming.  She searched relentlessly – and found – exactly the right fixture, the perfect color, the exact placement of each and every display piece, down to the smallest detail – all within my budget.

The result is an environment that is way beyond what I imagined.  Not only is it beautiful, but it functions perfectly – not an easy accomplishment for a retail store where the needs of the owner as well as a broad mix of customers must be met.  It works!  Some words I hear every day —-  “this is my new favorite store”;   “my friends told me I need to see this store”; “we are all talking about the new store at Kenilworth”;  “don’t ever leave – I love this store!”

Aside from her great eye, she really listens. Your project is her priority. She follows through with every detail and knows how to put together the very best team for your project.  Her coordination with other trades is crucial to a successful outcome.

And she stays with you long after the project is complete.  I can say without hesitation that Brigitte is the best of the best.  Her combination of talent, work ethic and excellent relationships with everyone involved raise the bar far above what we have all come to expect in today’s world.”
